BrownTuition associate tutors are trained, supported and developed, not just given a student list and left to it. We welcome graduates, university students and qualified teachers alike.

Training & Induction

Every tutor goes through Mr Brown's full induction programme, covering mindset coaching, lesson structuring, and how to handle students who've given up on maths.

Flexible Hours

Choose your availability. Most sessions run evenings and weekends, making it ideal alongside university or a graduate job. You set the hours that work for you.

Competitive Pay

Tutors earn competitive hourly rates that reflect their training and quality of delivery, not race-to-the-bottom platform pricing. Rates increase as you progress.

Ongoing Mentorship

You won't be on your own. Mr Brown provides regular check-ins, joint session reviews and continued development, so you grow as an educator, not just a tutor.

Online & In-Person

Deliver sessions online via a structured digital setup, and, if you’re available, in-person one-to-one lessons with students near you. We support both with resources and guidance.

Real Impact

You'll work with students who genuinely need support. Watching a young person shift from "I can't do maths" to sitting their GCSE with confidence is unlike anything else.

Who We Want

The right person, not just grades.

Graduate, university student or qualified teacher: ideally with a background in maths, science, engineering, economics or a related field, but we'll consider all strong candidates.
Patient, curious and people-first: you genuinely enjoy explaining things and understand that a student's mindset matters as much as their knowledge.

Previously trained by Mr Brown (or willing to complete our full induction before taking on students). Our method is non-negotiable.
Reliable and professional: students and parents depend on you. We expect punctuality, communication and care in every session.

Happy to complete our checks: all tutors must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate, provide references, and complete identity and right-to-work checks. No tutor works with students until these are complete.

Committed to safeguarding: you’ll follow our safeguarding and communication guidelines, including arranging everything through the parent or guardian and never contacting students outside scheduled sessions.

Submit Your Application

Fill in the form below. Tell us about yourself, your background and why you want to teach the BrownTuition way. We respond within 48–72 hours, often sooner.

Structured Interview

A friendly but thorough interview with Mr Brown covering your experience, your availability, how you think about teaching, and safeguarding. We’ll also ask for references.

Checks, Training & Induction

We complete our pre-start checks: your Enhanced DBS certificate, references, and identity and right-to-work checks. Then come shadowing sessions, guided lesson planning and a full walkthrough of our method. You won't be pushed in front of a student until you feel ready.

Join the Team

Once your checks and training are complete, start taking on students with Mr Brown's full support behind you. Your roster grows at a pace that works for you and your other commitments.
